Corporate Housing in Los Angeles

A popular alternative to hotels and a long-term apartment rental, corporate housing offers furnished apartments for nightly, weekly or monthly rates. Unlike hotels, these apartments typically have separate living and sleeping areas, fully equipped kitchens and laundry facilities. They also offer the convenience of housekeeping, a concierge, onsite parking and 24/7 support services. They are ideal for those on a temporary assignment, training program or relocation. This link:vipcorporatehousinglosangeles.com/

While corporate-style apartments have existed for decades, companies like Blueground are gaining traction. Backed by $28 million in venture capital, Blueground operates about 115 units in the area and plans to add 20 or more each month. The company, which specializes in extended-stay accommodations, provides amenities like flat-screen TVs, washer and dryers, and upgraded kitchens. Some include a spa tub, walk-in showers and private balconies. Prices for one-bedroom apartments start at $325 per night.

Exploring the Benefits of Corporate Housing in Los Angeles

But the trend has drawn criticism from housing advocates who say it decreases available rental stock and pushes up costs for people who want a home. The city of West Hollywood sued the owner of a building near Hollywood and Highland over its use of renovated apartments as corporate rentals, while Santa Monica this month is considering requiring initial leases to be at least 12 months.

But the owners of the buildings where Blueground and StayTony operate say they’re doing a good thing for their communities by bringing in additional revenue. The landlord of a unit in the complex near Hollywood and Highland says he worked with Blueground because his building wasn’t very full, and people in need of temporary housing didn’t have many options. He says he’s happy to rent his units at rates that are cheaper than a hotel room.
